Abram had one of his first experiences with peanut butter and jelly. He has tried it before but always with a quick spit out, but yesterday he tried it in a new form. He decided to take it apart and then stick his finger in each part to determine which was the best. So needless to say, peanut butter and jelly everywhere. And this is all that was left after he throughly enjoyed the sandwich.

A Walk in the Park
We decided the Fletchers had spent too much time cooped up in the house and combined with finally getting a pretty day, we went to the park. We had been there before when Daddy had played in the kickball league but never just to relax. There's a walking trail that meanders around the perimeter of the entire park and for a long while follows a small creek/river that just begs you jump in a play. Abram especially liked the little bends and mini-waterfalls. The sounds got his attention and the light shimmering off the water surface amazed him.
After a nice walk it was time to introduce Abram to a slide. We know, we know, we are bad parents for not taken him down a slide before now, but Daddy's been busy with basketball and track and the weather hasn't cooperated. Long story slightly shorter, he loves slides. We started going down together and then let him try out some of the smaller ones on his own. I would stand at the top and let him go while Mommy stood at the bottom awaiting the little giggling package. This will need to become a more regular trip, even it becomes just Abram and me going while Mandi stays home with Fletch IV to hang out.

Yes, Mommy's huge!
Just in case anyone has not heard, the Fletchers will soon be 4 instead of 3. Fletcher 4 will be here March 5th, if not sooner. Mommy is scheduled for a c-section on the 5th due to the fact that she is such a good incubator and grows babies big. For those of you who haven't seen her in a while, here's a picture.

A Man(Kinda) and His Bike(Sorta)
One of Abram's favorite toys from this Christmas is easily his convertible tricycle. It starts as a rocker, then becomes a push stroller, and finally becomes a tricycle he will be able to pedal and steer by himself. But right now it sits in the living room floor and is a great rocker. Abram loves it, I don't think there has been a day that he hasn't played on it in some form. Most days he just sits and rocks while making motorcycle sounds, something that all little boys can do instinctively. Some variations he has come up with include: the foot on handle bars recline, the try to stand on seat freak out Mommy and Daddy, and the side saddle. Yesterday he even tried riding on the handle bars while Daddy sat on the bike.

Tuesday Night
Tuesday night was a good night at the Fletcher house. Mommy and Abram were very sad that Daddy lost his ballgames on Monday night, but they were very excited to have Daddy home for a whole evening. Abram was so excited he wouldn't let Daddy out of his sight. He followed him everywhere and jumped on him every chance he got. Mommy was excited just to have Daddy around for a few extra minutes.

Snow Day
We all woke up disappointed after the large amount of snow predicted fizzzled out. Since Mommy and Daddy had the day off from school we made the most of the little bit of snow we did have. We spent the day sleeping in, playing, and just being together. This was Abram's first real snow day. He wasn't sure what to do with all the cold white stuff.
