First Day of School

Today was Mommy and Daddy's first day of a new school year. Abram and Katie had a great day, sleeping in, eating, and playing with Grammy. We are all so lucky that she is coming to our house to keep the kids. Mommy and Daddy survived their first day and have begun the countdown until summer come around again!! We wanted to take a picture but the kids were asleep when Mommy and Daddy had to leave, so maybe we will have a second day of school picture.

Mommy decided she needed some new shelves in her craft room. So Katie decided she would help build them. She was a great helper until she decided that the shelves looked tasty!

After the big excitement of the kickball game, we all walked over to the playground for a few minutes of play for the little kids (the big kid was worn out from his play!) Mommy and Abram played on the slides while Daddy and Katie played in the stroller.

What Daddy's been doing....

Every Monday and Wednesday evening for the last month or so have been kickball nights. The local park has run an adult kickball league for the last two years. Abram and Katie enjoy being able to hang out in the park for a couple of hours while Daddy tries to be a kid again. I, and the entire team, also get to enjoy an automatic cheering section.

Fletcher Lake Trip 2007

So here it is, finally. The long awaited report from our week long vacation down at Lake Keowee. At least the first part of it. Why has it taken so long you ask? Well, for several days after we were in recovery mode. Nothing can were you out faster than a vacation. Also, for that last two weeks it has been in the low to mid 90's with about 150% humidity. So I didn't feel like breaking a sweet just typing, trust me it would have happened. We finally got a break in the weather and some free time so here it is. This is only first part though. There is another large batch of pictures still on the camera that we will try to get put up hopefully this week. The first slide show has about 36 pictures on it, so sit back and enjoy.

we have been on vacation for a week with no internet access. We are now back with lots of pictures to share, but first we must get the laundry done and the suitcases unpacked. Watch for lots of new posts soon.
