Party Time

Cousin Will celebrated his 4th birthday last weekend. For his birthday he got a really neat ride on Thomas the Train. As you can see Abram enjoyed his present also. At first he wasn't too sure about this thing that moved by itself...
but as you can see by the end of the party, he was so sure of it...he was driving it himself.

And Katie slept through the whole thing except for the 20 minutes she was awake to eat and go back to sleep.

I know most of you are thinking does the girl ever wake up. Actually she is staying awake a lot more often now. She does most of her sleeping when we are out and about, which is a good thing, so that Mommy can keep up with brother.

Bumbo

Katie is growing and changing everyday. Here she is trying out the Bumbo chair for the first time. She started out strong but slowly drooped.

Wrestling

Abram had some prime wrestling time with Uncle Chad. It's wonderful to have family close to enjoy body slams together.

Deep Concentration

Contrary to first impressions Abram does have deep concentration. When he gets really interested in something there is nothing that can be done to take him away from it. Here he is trying very hard to put back together a marker he pulled apart.

Nap Time with Daddy

Katie and Daddy sneak a few minutes of special bonding time.

Easter

Abram and Katie are so lucky to have lots of cousins around to learn from. We were lucky enough this Easter to see almost all of them. As you can see Abram learned quickly how to hunt for Easter eggs. We had two days of egg hunting, one day it snowed the next day was beautiful! And as usual Katie slept through it all.

First Hair Cut

So, Abram's hair has gotten a little shaggy. We've been trying for several weeks to get him in for a trim, but between track, school, and other schedules, well, you can see for yourself.

But, Spring Break, glorious Spring Break! Finally a week where we can all head out for an ear lowering. First up was Daddy, then it was Abram's turn. We weren't quite sure what to expect. All it took was about 6 combs, a sippy cup, and some fruit chews and he made it.

Waiting for Mommy to finish her hair cut. We mostly wandered around and played in empty chairs.

All of this left Abram pretty wore out. Time for a nap to charge up to grow more hair.

Make Up Entry

Things have been very busy around the Fletcher house lately, so please excuse us for not having an entry up in a while. So in response to several requests here is a make-up entry with a little bit of what has been happening in the last week or so.

"I can do it myself." That is Abram's new thought process. He has learned that he can feed himself anything and is getting better at it. Here he is dilligently working on some yogurt. Shortly after this picture he turned up the yogurt and tried to drink it .

At the end of March we celebrated cousin Landon's first birthday. Katie spent the whole party sleeping on various relatives. This was her first time to meet Aunt Cynthia. I'm sure she got a great view through her eyelids. Abram played hard with anyone that would play with him. He and Papaw had a blast with the balloons.

Katie is a great baby. She sleeps and eats like a champ. She also doesn't mind to sit and watch the world go by occassionally. Here she is checking out the scenery outside the window. She is growing like a weed!

The bouncy seat in our living room has become a battle zone at times. When Abram was smaller, he wouldn't have anything to do with it but now that it is suppose to be used for someone else, he loves it. As you can see, it still puts him to sleep. Katie also enjoys the rocking of the seat and will most often fall asleep as she rocks.
