Katie is definately teething. Most of her day is spent much like this, with her whole fist in her mouth. She will also chew on anything that gets close enough for her to grab and pull in.

Just like Daddy

Abram is more and more like Daddy everyday. Even more so now that he wants to do everything just like Daddy even sitting at the table reading the paper.

The First Fletcher Family Portrait

Happy Father's Day

For Father's Day, Daddy got to sleep until 11:00. Needless to say that doesn't happen much in the Fletcher house anymore, but for one special day everyone was quiet so that Daddy could sleep. Abram also gave Daddy a new word for Father's Day-"NO!" and he knows how to use it!
This is a great picture Mommy caught a couple of weeks ago. For a while Abram was having a hard time going to sleep, so instead of laying in his bed with him, Daddy would lay in the floor. Most nights this is the scene that would eventually unfold with Daddy coming to bed about midnight (because he would fall asleep too). Now much to Mommy and Daddy's surprise Abram has decided to put himself to sleep. After his bath, he walks to give good night kisses and then straight to bed, pulling up the covers, cuddling up with a stuffed animal, and off to dreamland.

Katie has made some of her own decisions, as well. She has decided she is ready to move. Here she is in her Jumperoo. She likes to spend time in it, jumping and bouncing around, building those running muscles. She also enjoys laying in the floor, pushing herself in circles, getting ready to crawl. Mommy and Daddy have to be on guard at all times to protect Katie from her inquisitive brother.

Road Trip!

Mommy and the kids took a road trip recently to see Papaw and GramT. No special reason, no special occasion...everyone just needed to get out of the house.

The Fletcher family took a day off yesterday. It was Daddy's first day off of school and Mommy and the kids just needed a break, so we all loaded up the car and went to the Western North Carolina Nature Center. Abram loved all the animals. He was able to get up close to a cougar, touch a snake, admire a roving bear, and check out the pigs. Katie had a blast riding in the stroller and enjoying the fresh mountain air. Mr. Organization

Abram decided that the tupperware lids needed to be reorganized. So he pulled them all out and went to work!

I'll teach her

Abram has suddenly become very helpful when it comes to Katie. He helps clean her drool and share his food with her. He also wants to teach her everything he knows.

Nap Time

Mommy and Katie grab a nap anytime and anywhere they get the chance.

Daddy's Little Girl

Katie continues to amaze us everyday. Just last night, she pulled herself up in Daddy's lap and actually sat up by herself for a few seconds before falling over to chew on Daddy's arm. She is arching her back and pushing with her legs, trying her hardest to roll over. We are also afraid she is teething. Mommy feels bumps on her lower gums, she's drooling like crazy, and chewing on anything that comes close to her mouth. It's hard to believe that just 3 months ago, she was coming out of Mommy's tummy.
